Senior Psychologist

David holds a Doctorate of Psychology from Macquarie University, as well as double degree in Business Studies and Psychology (Hons). With a background in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, David offers a skilled ability in combining clinical interventions with organisational and industrial issues. More recently, David has worked in the rehabilitation and return to work space, contributing to safety training initiatives and supporting complex claims/injuries with a range of presenting problems including adjustment to injury, chronic pain and trauma based interventions.

David enjoys the opportunity to build a strong therapeutic alliance with every person he meets and works from a strength-based approach where he supports individuals to gain insight into their perceptions and behaviours. He applies a variety of therapeutic techniques including traditional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as Brief Solution Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and mindfulness to assist individuals to improve their overall wellbeing. David is able to provide private counselling services through Medicare and Workers Compensation schemes. He is also an experienced researcher with a strong background in instructional design and facilitation of workshops and tailored training initiatives.
